of BCM and former partner of James Harris, Iain
qualified in 1977 and has been practising as a
land agent for over 30 years. He farms his own
1,000 acre farm at Snoddington and manages substantial
farms and estates throughout Southern England.
Iain is also director of various other farming
and estate companies.
Iain is lead partner in farm and estate management and in the financial and
taxation aspects of owning land.
Andrew Bays BSc Hons – Partner
A founder partner of BCM and former partner of James Harris, Andrew has been operating in Hampshire for over 17 years and is involved in consultancy and management of land and estates throughout Southern England. He is also director of a number of residential and commercial property companies.
Andrew is the lead partner in farm tenancies and contract farming agreements
and farming grants.
Henry McCowen MRICS BSc Hons – Partner
A founder partner of BCM and formerly with James Harris, Henry has been practising in Hampshire for over 15 years and runs and advises a number of farms and estates throughout the region, including farming 3,000 acres in conjunction with his brother at Bighton. Henry is director of a number of other companies varying from construction to document storage.
Henry is the lead partner for sales and purchases of farms, estates and country houses.
Ros Foreman AIAgSA - Partner
Ros has been working in the rural world in Hampshire for over 20 years and specialising in farm and estate accounts and administration.
Ros is the lead partner for farm and estate administration.
Alastair Wilson MRICS BSc Hons – Partner
Alastair joined
James Harris shortly before it was taken over by
Savills. He has been working in Hampshire and
surrounding counties for over 12 years and has
built up an impressive client base. He became a
partner of BCM in 2005.
Alastair is lead partner in valuation, auction sales, compensation and diversification.
James Fraser MBIAT – Partner
James joined
BCM in 2002 having previously been with a leading
firm of Winchester architects. Since he joined
us his department has grown to a team of four.
He became a partner of BCM in 2005.
James is lead partner in architecture and design.
John Harding – Non Executive Chairman
John acts as BCM's non executive Chairman bringing 35 years experience as a commercial Chartered Surveyor to the Practice. John has been MD of a listed Company and is currently CEO of a marina investment business allowing BCM to benefit from his diverse range of business management skills.
Robin Lalonde FRICS FAAV – Consultant
Robin is synonymous
with land management in our region having formerly
been senior partner with James Harris. He has been
practising in this region longer than most. He
mentored a number of the founder partners and introduced
a number of their major clients.
Robin is vice chairman of the Test and Itchen Fishing Association, secretary
to the Hants Wilts and Dorset CAAV and sits on the Hampshire Access Forum.
